July 4 – July 9, 2010 Amethyst Summer Curling Camp – We are happy to have The Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company as our sponsor of the camp again this year. This has allowed us to keep the rapidly rocketing expenses of the camp under control and help keep the cost of the camp within reach of as many young curlers as possible. George Cooke is the President of Dominion and he is passionate about this project in the north. We all owe The Dominion a sincere thank you for jumping on board. The cost for the last two years was the same. This year will be $815.00 …a slight increase from the last two years.
The Dominion Amethyst Curling Camp (our 13th edition) will operate again this summer in Sudbury, Ontario. The dates are July 4 – July 9, 2010. The camp will accommodate 96 curlers aged 13-19 who have at least two years of curling experience. They will be placed in one of three categories - Intermediate (13-15 years old), Advanced (15-17 years old) or High Performance (16-19 years old), based on their age and experience. There is no novice division for new curlers at this camp.

Cleanse your hands often using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. 3. Avoid touching your face as much as possible. 4. Cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. Throw out used tissues right away. 5. Do not share objects that have been in other people’s mouths, such as cups, glasses, toothbrushes, soft drinks, water bottles, unwashed utensils and lip products. 6. Stay home if you feel sick. People who have symptoms of influenza should stay home until their fever is gone and they are feeling better. This will help limit the spread of infection in the community.
